Allie spent her 20’s in New York City performing on Broadway. She was a swing in Grease! on Broadway in New York, and then went on the road as “Rizzo” for a year of the Broadway National Tour of the show.

When she moved to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time, she wrote with diverse musical talents and began releasing music under the pseudonym, LAE. In 2016, Shruti Kumar produced the first LAE. record which landed some of the singles, “Jury,” and “Tolerance,” on Spotify’s Indie Pop Playlists.

Allie writes songs for LA based composers, and she writes toplines for dance music producers. She is a session singer for commercials and film scores.

She is now releasing music under her own name and in her duo with her husband, Alex Pasternak. She and Alex have a joint musical project, Florecer, which is Balearic, breezy, and blissful.

As of June 2022, Allie is a proud graduate of UCLA’s Ethnomusicology Department. She remains inspired by musics from around the world and values the investigation into who makes the music and why, not just the analysis of music itself.

Allie has always known she was meant to be a musician. “When I was a kid, I was always writing songs. Everyday when I got home from school, I’d hop off the school bus and onto my bicycle, and then I’d ride around the neighborhood for at least an hour singing out loud melodies and lyrics.”
